Meet at 9 a.m. at the Frog Lake Overlook on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
Directions: From Truckee take the Boreal exit off I80, turn left and go under the overpass turn left again and head down the frontage road to the PCT trail head. From there we will head 1/4 mile down the trail and join the PCT— follow it under the highway. We will then come to an intersection with the trails to Warren Lake and Summit Lake. Go right and follow signs to Warren Lake. It’s about 3 miles to the ridge line. At the top of the ridge there is an unmarked trail to the Frog Lake overlook on the right. The trail is about 1/8 miles and real easy to find. The views are spectacular and Frog lake sits about 1,000 ft. below us.
