Directions: Take HWY 89 between Truckee and Tahoe City. Turn at the Squaw Valley turn off, which is well marked. Follow the road “Squaw Peak Road” up to the resort area. Look for the Olympic Village Inn, and we will meet there for your convenience and then go and park at the actual trailhead. The trail follows Shirley Creek up about 2.5 miles to Shirley Lake passing gorgeous waterfalls and canyon boulders.
